Who we are

This policy explains how Aircore Heating and Cooling ("Aircore", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through aircore.net.au, by email and during assessments, installations and servicing in Melbourne.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Your name, mobile number, email address, suburb and postcode
• Details about your home, such as the number of storeys and rooms, your current heating and cooling, and photos you choose to send
• Information needed to apply the Victorian Energy Upgrades discount, such as the installation address and details of the equipment being replaced
• Your quote, installation, warranty and service history
• Payment records (card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us)
• Basic website usage information, such as pages visited and the type of device used

How we collect it

• When you fill in our quote form or email us
• When an installer visits your home for an assessment, installation or service
• Through cookies and analytics tools on our website

Why we use it

• To arrange your assessment and prepare your written quote
• To install, commission and service your system
• To register manufacturer warranties
• To check eligibility for and claim the Victorian Energy Upgrades discount
• To answer your questions and keep you updated about your job
• To meet our legal, licensing and record keeping obligations

We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

• Our installers and electricians working on your job
• Equipment manufacturers and suppliers, to register warranties
• The Essential Services Commission and its auditors, where needed for the Victorian Energy Upgrades program
• Service providers who help us run the business, such as email, accounting and website hosting providers
• Anyone we are required or authorised to share it with by law

We do not sell personal information.

Some of our service providers may store data outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How we keep it safe

Information is stored in secure, password protected systems with access limited to staff who need it for your job. We keep records for as long as needed for warranty, servicing and legal purposes, then delete or de-identify them.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies to work properly and to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@aircore.net.au. We will respond within 30 days.
